Program Manager, Education and Outreach

Position Summary:

The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation (CGIF) is seeking a dynamic and experienced program manager to oversee the planning, implementation, marketing, and evaluation of outreach activities and educational programs. As the program manager, you will play a crucial role in attracting, inspiring, and supporting the next generation of ceramic and glass professionals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of STEM fields by nurturing talent and fostering collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

Program coordination and implementation: Manage the planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting of program activities, manage program budgets and expenditures, and communicate with program volunteers and participants.
Program development: Lead the development and refinement of educational outreach programs, identifying new partnerships with like-minded organizations to enhance program offerings.
Program communication: Manage the development of engaging marketing and communication materials, including brochures, press releases, marketing flyers, social media content, educational handouts, and websites.
Outreach Events and Meetings: Plan, attend, and represent the Foundation at meetings, workshops, and outreach events related to the programs.
Board Administration: Coordinate Foundation Board meetings, including attendee notifications, RSVP tracking, preparation and distribution of meeting materials, and recording and distribution of meeting minutes.
Internship Coordination: Manage CGIF interns by assigning tasks, evaluating their work, and fostering a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Association experience and/or science education background is a plus, but not necessary.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an association or foundation setting. Prior educators are also welcomed.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office products and data management.
Ability to understand technical subject matters and effectively collaborate with technical members.
Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve goals, applying knowledge and judgment.

Location and Travel:

We value in-person collaboration and relationship building and therefore take a hybrid approach that combines remote and in-office workdays. Some travel is required for this position.

Salary and Benefits:

The expected minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000, commensurate with experience.
