Position Summary:
The Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau is the destination marketing organization for Dayton/Montgomery County, Ohio. The Bureau's mission is to collaboratively lead and advocate for the development of the region’s visitor economy, which contributes to a thriving community, a diverse tax base and lifestyle amenities for everyone to enjoy.
The Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking a dynamic, collaborative team leader to direct and lead the sales and services department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long- and short-term sales strategies and budgets to ensure achievement of goals.
- Hire, train and motivate a successful sales and services team
- This is a full-time on-site position located in Dayton with the possibility of 1-2 remote work days per week. Must be willing to travel.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in a sales leadership position with a convention and visitor’s bureau, hotel or related travel industry organization preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, hospitality industry or related area or equivalent work experience desired.
