Following Putin’s Signal of Sharper Break With West, Biden Speaks in Poland

Russia suspending its participation in its last remaining nuclear arms control agreement

President Joe Biden is delivering remarks in Poland after President Vladimir V. Putin said Russia would suspend its participation in its last remaining nuclear arms control agreement with the U.S.

The United States has provided nearly $30 billion in arms and equipment to Ukraine since Russia invaded a year ago. As Biden arrived in Ukraine on Monday, the White House announced an additional $460 million in artillery ammunition, Javelin anti-armor systems and air surveillance radars.

"Our support will not waver," Biden said during his speech.
