Defense Rests in Trump's Election Fraud Trial

The former president did not testify in his own defense

The defense rested its case without former President Donald Trump taking the witness stand in his New York election fraud/hush money case. Closing arguments are expected next Tuesday.

After the defense rested, Judge Juan M. Merchan told jurors they won’t be needed again in court until next Tuesday.

Deliberations are expected as early as next Wednesday.
