Director of Membership & Sales
Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association | Columbus, Ohio
The Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association is seeking a Director of Membership & Sales. This role will develop, manage and execute membership functions, including prospecting, recruitment, sales and retention. OHLA provides advocacy, information, resources, programs and education for operators and professionals in every type of lodging business across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promoting and selling association membership to different classes of business prospects.
- Implementation of an effective retention strategy.
- Selling and management of affiliate industry partner sponsorships.
- Development and refinement of prospect lists.
- Collaboration on programs, benefits and events that support members.
- Management of volunteer committees.
- Networking with industry partners, and peers in other hospitality associations.
- Providing input and content for association communications.
- Enhance methods of utilizing association management system for maximum benefit, and
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Professional association or hotel industry experience preferred.
- Four-year degree or equivalent, with focus in disciplines related to the duties of this position.
- Helpful, but not required: knowledge of association management systems and databases; sales experience within hotels or trade associations or similar environment with directly transferable skills; customer service background or training; event experience; business writing skills; follow-through and attention to detail.

This is a full-time, salaried position in the OHLA office in Columbus, Ohio.
