Ohio Senate, House Confirm Jim Tressel as Lieutenant Governor

The former football coach replaces Jon Husted

The Ohio House and Senate confirmed former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel to become the state's lieutenant governor.

The Senate voted 31-1 in favor of confirming Tressel while the House voted 68-27.

Tressel, 72, is taking over for Jon Husted, who left the job last month after DeWine tapped him to fill the U.S. Senate seat left open by JD Vance who became vice president.
