Here’s a list of practices that will help make your organization’s efforts defensible

The whirlwind of DE&I developments since the start of the second Trump administration is starting to set battle lines and fuel potentially long-lasting controversies and legal fights. As some companies roll back their DEI programs, others are reaffirming their commitment to the work. It’s hard to know which way is up in navigating this environment.

The surprises aren’t stopping—consider Attorney General Pam Bondi’s announcement that she plans to go after private companies promoting DE&I. For businesses, this creates real concerns about how to move forward while staying compliant, leaving many small and mid-sized companies in limbo as they try to figure out what they can and cannot do.

The reality is DE&I is evolving, and it’s not going to go away. Your employees still exist, and as you work to attract talent and broadly serve different audiences, DE&I will be integral to ensuring business continuity.
