FBI Searches for Motive after Gunman Kills Four at Michigan LDS Church
The president quickly labeled it "an attack on Christians"
Federal agents are searching for a motive after at least four people were killed when a gunman rammed a truck into a Michigan church on Sunday, opening fire and setting the building ablaze.
At least eight people were injured in the attack, officials said, which happened as the facility was packed with worshipers.
Police said the only suspect, Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40 and a former U.S. Marine, of the nearby city of Burton, was killed by law enforcement within minutes of the attack, which took place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) building in Grand Blanc Township, some 10 miles south of the city of Flint.
