I found the best new thing artificial intelligence can do for your personal life: Quit online subscriptions.

It isn't "super-intelligence." But it is useful. And the way it works — along with when it fails — offers us a snapshot of one of the most-promising frontiers in AI, known as "agents."

I recently wanted to quit Hulu and Disney+, but grew annoyed as I hunted for a cancel button. For many companies, making it annoying to quit is part of their business model. Amazon is paying $2.5 billion to settle with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for tricking people into subscribing to Prime and then making it difficult to cancel.
