FDA Expands Health Alert about Ground Cinnamon

The alert notes that the cinnamon was contaminated with lead

United States health officials expanded a 2024 health alert about high levels of lead in ground cinnamon containers Wednesday.

The Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) warning began in July 2024 and has expanded four times since. 

Now, more than a dozen packaged ground cinnamon brands sold at outlets including Dollar Tree, Patel Brothers and Eurogrocery stores in several states are impacted.
