OVMA Welcomes Lisa Sileargy as Its New Director of Meetings & Events

She will bring her wealth of event-planning knowledge to the role

The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Sileargy as its new director of meetings & events. SIleargy brings 27 years of events management experience to the OVMA, where she will be responsible for overseeing the planning of the Midwest Veterinary Conference (MVC), the fifth largest veterinary convention in North America.

"I'm very pleased to have Lisa join our OVMA team," said Executive Director Chris Henney. "Her experience, knowledge and passion will be a wonderful asset to not only the association itself, but also the Midwest Veterinary Conference."

Sileargy brings to OVMA a wealth of event planning, continuing education and association experience from her tenures at respected organizations like the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Association of College & University Housing Officers International. Most recently, she spent 10 years at the Ohio Bar Association, where she was deeply involved in the planning, development, promotion and execution of in-person, hybrid and virtual events, including the organization's annual meeting.
