The Ohio Society of Association Professionals (OSAP) is excited to announce that it has recently hired industry professional Monica Occhetti, CAE, ICE-CCP, to serve the association's members as its new coordinator, member relations and programming.
In this role, Occhetti, who resides in Cleveland, will assist the organization in its event planning strategies, membership relations and daily operations. In addition to being an association professional for nearly 10 years, Occhetti recognizes the value of certification and life-long learning.
"I'm very excited to have Monica join the team and to apply her skills to help move the organization forward," said OSAP President & CEO Jarrod A. Clabaugh, CAE. "Not only does she possess her CAE, she also has earned her ICE-CPP certification and is committed to helping others grow. It also will be wonderful to have a remote team member who can provide unique Northeast Ohio perspectives to what we do.
Occhetti, CAE, ICE-CCP, has been an association professional since 2015 and is passionate about nonprofit work. She has served a variety of industries - from healthcare to construction - and champions continuing education as the path to organizational success. As a Cleveland native deeply rooted in the Old Brooklyn community, she still has a hand in helping her family greenhouse business. She is a graduate of Cleveland State University and Hawaii Pacific University, having earned both bachelor and master degrees in communication. She spends her free time volunteering with a nonprofit feline rescue, hiking the Cleveland Metroparks and enjoying live music.
