At a meeting of the Governor’s Executive Workforce Board on Wednesday, Lt. Governor Jon Husted and InnovateOhio announced the AI in Education Strategy, an effort designed in collaboration with the AI in Education Coalition to help educators better prepare students for the workforce of tomorrow.
The strategy aims to provide students, educators and communities with the knowledge, tools and skills they need to thrive in an increasingly AI-infused world. Outlined through recommendations developed by the coalition for K-12 school districts, higher education institutions and Ohio government agencies, the strategy acts as a guide to better prepare Ohio’s young people for the rapidly changing workforce. As AI continues to evolve, it will impact a wide range of jobs, including both those that require advanced expertise and those that involve more routine tasks.
