Dozens of Countries' Visitors to the U.K. Will Have to Pay a New Entry Fee Starting This Week

The ETA application cost is approximately $12.50

If you are traveling to the United Kingdom (U.K.) as early as this week, you might need to apply online for a travel authorization before you go.

Starting Wednesday, the U.K. will require U.S. citizens, Canadian citizens and nationals from more than three dozen other countries to have a so-called electronic travel authorization (ETA).
