Ohio Sheriff’s Association Demands GoFundMe Remove Fundraiser amid Controversy

Allegedly, the fundraiser is for man who struck and killed a deputy with his car

The Ohio Sheriff's Association (OSA) is demanding GoFundMe to remove the fundraiser for a man who allegedly struck and killed a deputy with his car.

38-year-old Rodney Hinton Jr is the father of a teen who was shot and killed by a Cincinnati police officer last week. Hinton allegedly struck and killed a county deputy with his car a day after the shooting. Authorities said the crash appeared to be intentional.

The Hamilton County Sheriff' deputy was directing traffic near the University of Cincinnati on graduation day when he was hit by a car that drove into an intersection, Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said.
